Mindfulness and Self Care Workshop for Parents
On 20th November, 2021, the Parent-Teacher Association and the Religious Studies Department organized a workshop on Mindfulness for parents via Zoom. Instructors from the Educational Movement for Human and Spiritual Development shared with parents how some meditation and breathing activities could help them manage their feelings and reactions, and restore peace and calm in stressful daily life. Being mindful, parents are able to listen to their children with full attention and compassion, as well as understanding and responding to them without judgement. All the participants found the workshop useful as it helped them build harmonious relationships with their children.
