Feast of the Immaculate Conception: Reflection and Floral Offering
On the morning of December 3, 2025, teachers and students assembled at our school hall for a special prayer service in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The service aimed to venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary and guide students in reflecting on her sublime virtues.
During the service, student representative Chu Lai Ying shared her profound reflection. She emphasized that the Blessed Virgin Mary was free from Original Sin from the very first moment of her conception, saved by the grace of God, Our Father. Lai Ying highlighted that Mary constantly chose to dedicate herself to God through her free will. Her response, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word" (Luke 1:38), demonstrated her complete trust and obedience. Besides, she is our role model to serve others, teaching us to trust in God and perform actions that glorify God and serve our neighbours.
To express our sincere gratitude and love to the Immaculate Virgin Mary, the service included a solemn Floral Offering. Representatives from the Catholic Society and various classes presented roses, asking for her intercession and guidance. The Catholic Society also offered handmade crocheted roses, symbolizing Mary’s maternal love and encouraging students to reflect on her virtues of charity and faith. We sang hymns and prayed together.
The prayer service brought together students and staff for a meaningful time of worship and reflection. It not only strengthened our school’s Catholic identity but also fostered a sense of community among all participants. We hope that through our prayers and devotion, we will receive God’s blessings and continue to grow in faith and excellence.
