On 23rd September, we were grateful to have Rev. Simon Li Chi-yuen to hold a prayer gathering for us in the new school year. This year, our school’s theme of the Catholic Education Core Values is “Truth”, which is what the human intellect is searching for and this desire must always be encouraged and kept alive.

Father Li encouraged us to follow Jesus Christ in order to seek Truth. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”(John 14:6) It is possible for everyone to walk in the truth, so that it can set us free from sin. God loves all of us and is rich enough for everyone who calls on Him. The Holy Spirit will guide us in this ongoing process of being set free. The more willing, obedient, and quick to acknowledge the truth we are, the quicker our progress will be.

At the end of the prayer gathering, Father Li prayed for God’s blessing to be with us and our school. He encouraged us to stay positive because the truth gives us hope. Through God we are able to overcome all things and pursue our goal of being like Christ. May the Light of God guide us the way to a fruitful year at St. Antonius.
