Prayer Gathering for a New School Year
On 21st September, we were grateful to have Rev. Fr. Chan Tak Hung, who is one of our school managers, to hold a prayer gathering for us in the new school year.
This year, our school’s theme of the Catholic Education Core Values is “Life”. Fr. Chan encouraged us to make good use of our life. Everyone has the ability to have an effect on the character, behavior, and development of another person. Thus, we all have influences. If we truly want to influence someone for God, we need to follow Jesus who loved and died for everyone. We have to use our actions to show our influences, like praying for our families and friends. Through our actions, our words and our lives, we can use every ounce of the influence we have to show them God.
At the end of the prayer gathering, Fr. Chan prayed for God’s blessing to be with us and our school. “In him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4) May the Light of God guide us the way to a fruitful year at St. Antonius.
