Chinese Creative Writing Workshop
The Chinese Department held a series of Creative Writing Workshops in co-operation with the House of Hong Kong Literature. Mr. Tim Kwan, a local experienced writer, instructed our students on Chinese creative writing. The theme of the workshops was “home”, inspiring our girls to think more about home ─ our homes are more than financial assets. It’s a place for which we have deep emotional meaning. Mr. Kwan also taught students several techniques on creative writing and provided various reading materials to enhance their writing input. Students used writing prompts to inspire themselves and played imaginative games in groups. After six lessons, the works from students were satisfactory and all of them shared the joy and fun in writing.
