In order to improve self-directed learning ability, the Integrated Education Team implemented a homework guidance programme named “Happy Classroom”. This programme aims to strengthen students’ academic abilities. If students fail to complete their assignments due to weak abilities, they will be invited to join the Happy Classroom in which they will be given support to complete the school work by teachers or alumni tutors. The class is held on every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school. By the assistance of the teachers and the peers, students develop self-directed learning skills to reach their study goals. There is an Award Scheme for completing the homework, which provides an incentive for students to work harder.
