Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival in St. John the Baptist Parish
On 23rd September, members of the Catholic Society went to St. John The Baptist Parish in Kwun Tong to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. On that evening, Principal Ms. Chu and the students joined a prayer gathering. By several worship songs, participants reflected the bible verse “In him was life, and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4) Fr. Timothy Wan led a prayer for God’s blessing to our society and family in this special Chinese traditional festival.
After the prayer gathering, there was a fun fair to celebrate the festival with the Catholic families. Our girls designed a booth named The Fruits of the Holy Spirit, which were love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. They gave everyone a wish to share the gift and grace from Our Heavenly Father. Children enjoyed the game and all of us had a great time in giving thanks and praying for a prosperous life.
