Religious Week
From 29th April to 3rd May, the Religious Education Team organized a Religious Week. The theme was “The Light of Life”. Through various activities, we learnt to thank God with appreciation of life.
During the whole week, our Catholic representatives invited fellow schoolmates to join the “Bible Quiz Game” which tested their knowledge on various topics including the Ten Commandments, biblical miracles and the Apostles’ mission. Through playing games by ipad, students learnt about five Core Values of Catholic Education: truth, justice, love, life and family.
Moreover, an exhibition of books and holy objects was organized by the Advent Catholic Service Centre Limited. Students from different classes walked through and purchased their favorite books and objects. On the last day, we invited a guest speaker from School of Biomedical Science of HKU, to deliver a talk about the Body Donation Programme which allows people to donate their bodies after they pass away. Body donation is very important to education and research in healthcare professions, and eventually to the betterment of human health. It is also a way to extend the spirit of love.
The Religious Week was a success and we would like to thank our girls for their enthusiasm and great participation.
