“Wilderness Decoded: The Ultimate Survival Challenge” Camp
To foster students' teamwork spirit and enhance their self-care and problem-solving skills, the Student Support Team organized a two-day, one-night camp from July 3rd to July 4th for 27 students from Form 1 to Form 3. During these two days, students stepped away from their schoolwork and electronic devices to fully immerse themselves in various challenges.
The camp featured a series of thoughtfully designed team-building activities, including a "Snack Tower" challenge, a "Night Walk," and a "Roman Catapult" construction task. In the "Snack Tower" activity, students worked in groups to discuss strategies, purchase snacks of different colors, and stack them into the tallest tower. Through this process, they learned how to reach a consensus within limited time and resources. During the "Night Walk," which tested courage and trust, students overcame their fear of the dark and built deep peer trust. In addition, the "Roman Catapult" activity truly showcased their resilience. Each group had to use ropes and bamboo poles effectively to build a stable catapult together. Although many groups experienced multiple collapses and failures, the students kept correcting their mistakes and ultimately successfully launched their water bombs.
This camp broke down the barriers between grade levels, allowing Form 1 to Form 3 students to learn communication, tolerance, and perseverance amidst sweat and laughter. We believe this invaluable experience will undoubtedly serve as a powerful source of inspiration as they grow and move forward together.
