Spiritual Retreat: "Pilgrims of Hope" Ignites Faith at SAGC
Our school religious team recently held a deeply significant spiritual retreat for our staff in the newly renovated Religious Activities Room (converted from the former Chapel). The gathering, themed "Pilgrims of Hope," aimed to help all Catholic teachers rediscover and deepen their foundation of faith amidst their teaching duties.

School Supervisor, Rev. Anthonius Reynolds BALUBUN, and Principal Chu both participated. In an atmosphere of openness and mutual support, teachers candidly shared their recent faith experiences and spiritual insights, offering witness to the grace of God in their lives. This genuine communion, enriched by the presence of Fr. A.R. Balubun, filled the room with the peace and charity of the Holy Spirit.

During her sharing, Principal Chu movingly recounted her summer pilgrimage to Italy, a journey that strengthens faith. She also displayed sacred icons and objects brought back from her travels. Her testimony highlighted the profound meaning of the theme: we are all pilgrims on earth, journeying towards the Kingdom of Heaven with unwavering hope.

Held in this sacred, tranquil space, the retreat allowed teachers to momentarily step away from busy school affairs and focus on encountering God. SAGC trusts that this spiritual formation empowers teachers to better embody the school's mission, transmitting the love and hope of Christ to every student.
