Catholic Teachers Embark on "Jubilee Pilgrimage" to Discover the True Meaning of Hope
Principal Chu, accompanied by a group of Catholic teachers from our school, participated in the "2425 Joint School Catholic Teacher Professional Development Retreat Day – Jubilee Pilgrimage" on 12th June. This event was organized by the Religious Education Committee of the Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Schools Council (Secondary Section) and held at St. Joseph's Church in Fanling. The retreat's theme, "We Are Pilgrims of Hope," aimed to deepen teachers' understanding of their faith and jointly explore the true meaning of hope in this Jubilee Year.
The retreat featured a solemn sending-off ceremony led by Vicar General Father Chan Wing-chiu, imbuing participants with spiritual strength. This valuable opportunity allowed Principal Chu and the Catholic teachers not only to foster faith-based exchanges but also to find moments of tranquility amidst their busy teaching schedules, refocusing on their personal spiritual growth. The teachers unanimously expressed that the retreat was immensely beneficial, providing them with a profound understanding of how to integrate faith education into daily teaching and how to guide students with hope.
