The 11th Annual General Meeting of the Parents and Teachers Association was held on 17th October in the school hall. In her welcoming speech, our Principal, Ms Li Suk Mei shared with us the measures that have been carried out to enhance the all-round development of our students. She also thanked parents and teachers for their continuous support in improving home-school cooperation, and hoped that the PTA would continue to foster communication between parents and the school. Following the principal's speech, the Chairman of the PTA reported the activities and programmes organized last year which included an orientation party for Form 1 parents and students, a Christmas dessert-making class, a series of outings and various kinds of competitions.He also thanked teachers and parents for their support in running those activities and looked forward to parents' active participation in the coming year. During the meeting, besides the formation of the committee of 2008-2009, a prize presentation ceremony was held. Prizes sponsored by the PTA were given to winners of an IT competition, a slogan writing competition about road safety, a book report writing competition in the Family Reading Scheme and Best Performance Awards in Chinese, English and Maths. After the AGM, parents had a valuable opportunity to meet their children's class teachers and the new committee members had their first meeting in the school library to discuss this year's activities and home-school cooperation plans.
