The Civic and Moral Education team organized an anti-smoking assembly recently. The aim was to make students understand the dangers and long-term side effects of smoking and hence enhance students' awareness of the advantages of being a non-smoker. It started with a lively drama performed by our students. Their amazing performance conveyed the message of anti-smoking effectively. We were then honoured to have Ms Fung Ka Yee, from the Hong Kong Council on Smoking (COSH), to speak about the negative effects of smoking. Through an effective presentation in which she shared latest research findings and showed an exhibition of real photos, students became more aware of the health burden of smoking and the importance of a smoke-free policy.
