Thirty-nine Form 5D students visited the MTR 24-hour Operations Control Centre on 3rd November 2006.The MTR network is one of the most important modes of mass public transport for the people of Hong Kong. It was amazing to know that only eight centre controllers were responsible for managing and operating the train journeys, which are consistently safe, efficient and reliable, all over Hong Kong. It is also good to learn that the image of the MTR is excellent, and that it has been invited to develop the train network in Beijing and Shanghai.
