School Re-opening Ceremony

2006-9-1

On 1st September, all the students gathered in the hall for the re-opening ceremony. The Principal reminded students to set their targets for this year and that they need to work hard under the supervision of their teachers. She talked about the three major concerns of the school this year. The first one is to improve the quality of teaching so as to enhance students' all-round development. The second one is to raise students' confidence, sense of belonging and abilities in self-management. The third one is to foster a healthy reading habit.

After the speech, students made a pledge to try their best to live a healthy life including doing more exercise, having a balanced diet and developiyng good hobbies. Teachers from various departments (discipline, counselling, careers and ECA) also talked to students about how they could develop their potential by taking part in the activities and learning programmes they designed for students. Lastly, students watched a video containing some major activities they joined last year. All of us were captivated by the richness and enjoyment our school life had brought to us. With our combined effort, 2006-2007 will be another fruitful year.
