Dear Lord,

Thank you for granting us the grace to begin another year! Please continue to look after us and give us guidance to face the challenges and difficulties ahead.

We will address four major concerns this year. The first one is to plan and develop the New Senior Secondary Curriculum, which will be fully implemented in 2009. Teachers will step up their training to enhance their professional knowledge and skills. They will work hard to devise appropriate learning materials and assessment methods to suit the needs of different students. Please grant our teachers wisdom and strength to perform their duties effectively.

Let us pray for our students. May the Lord give them the intelligence and confidence to pursue their studies. Protect them from danger when participating in activities and grant them wisdom to distinguish right from wrong. We hope that teachers and students will work together harmoniously so that it will be a fruitful year.
