Dear Lord,

There has been heavy rain and serious floods across southern China. Many people were killed and injured. The bad weather destroyed schools, farmlands, homes and workplaces. Nearly 9 million people are affected. Please grant strength and good health to those who have to rebuild their lives because of this bad weather. Help us to appreciate our safe and comfortable lives here in Hong Kong.

Tomorrow is the Dragon Boat Festival. It is a lively and colorful tradition. It is a time for us to enjoy the dragon boat races and rice dumplings. It is a good chance to celebrate and enjoy this festival with our family. Please help us to have a good time with our families and let us treasure the chance to be with our parents, brothers and sisters.

Although we will have a holiday tomorrow, we must remember that we are having our final exams this week. God, we thank you for the things we have learnt and experienced in this school term. We are older every day, but we are wiser at the same time. Please be with us when we prepare for our exams. Guide us to study wholeheartedly and diligently so that we can do our best.
