4th June 2007

Dear Lord,

Fathers' Day is in June. We pray that you will care for our fathers and other people who look after us. Even though our father and mother may not be perfect, we trust that they are always trying their best to care for us and teach us. Please help us to accept them as they are and appreciate our families more.

Last week, a 10-year-old girl, Chi Kwan, went missing after being dropped off at a tutorial centre. Thankfully, she was found by a responsible Hong Kong citizen the next day in Shenzhen. Lord, thank you for protecting this young girl. We pray for all the people around the world who are missing, and for comfort for their tormented families.

Above all, we pray for the young people in our school. Not all of them have loving families to go home to. Some of them are lost and unable to take advantage of the opportunities being given to them. Perhaps there are days that some students do not want to go home. Lord, we ask that you would have mercy on our students. When they do not know what they are doing or they simply get lost in life, we ask that You draw them back to Your love.

Lord, hear our prayer!
