Dear Lord,

This Sunday is Mother's Day. This is a very important time for us to show our thanks to our mothers. Lord, thank you for giving us loving mothers and other people who care for us in our families.

Lord, sometimes we are naughty and do not listen to our mothers. Perhaps we have disputes with our parents and they feel angry and sad. Lord, please give us wisdom to deal with arguments and help to bring love and harmony to our families.

Dear Lord, please also let us treasure our families. There are many orphans in the world. Many unfortunate children especially in the Third World do not even have enough food and may finally die of starvation. We are the lucky ones if we have our mothers to prepare our meals and do the housework for us everyday.

Lord, we would like to pray for good health and happiness for our mothers.

The Month of May is the Month of Mary. We would like to ask Holy Mary, the mother of Jesus to pray for world peace so that Jesus, the son of Mary, .may grant love and care to this world and people of different races can live in harmony.

Lord, hear our prayer!
