Dear Lord,

We received our second-term examination reports a week ago. Some of us showed improvement in this exam, whereas some of us got worse results. Please help us not to be discouraged. Help us to decide that we will do better next time. Making this decision will help us to do our best. Lord, there are so many things which distract us from our studies. Please help us concentrate on our studies and be well-educated.

According to some research done by a worker's union, over 170,000 people in Hong Kong live in poverty. They have received little or no education. Lord, please let us cherish what we have now. Now is the time we have the opportunity to learn something that can ensure a better standard of living for us and our families.

We all understand that education is very important to us. Education allows us to explore different areas of interest, hence it guides us to think about the meaning of life. So, we can also understand that life is not just for a well-paid job or some brand name products. It is also about our relationships with others and our environment, and must include helping those in need.

Lord, hear our prayer!
