Dear Lord,

The theme for this month is the "meaning of life". First of all, we would like to thank you for giving us this life so that we can enjoy learning in school, where we have teachers to teach us and friends to play with. At home, we have parents to love us and provide the things that we need. Please help us to cherish everything we have and try to help those who are less fortunate.

It is tragic that a violent gun shooting by a very troubled South Korean student took place in Blacksburg University in America last week. 33 people were killed and many others were seriously hurt. Lord, please enable those who are confused and in pain to find and accept help. Guide people around the world to understand the value of life, and grant them wisdom to solve their problems in a peaceful way. Here, we would like to pray for the dead. Please have mercy on their souls and accept them into Heaven. Please also grant strength to the injured people to recover quickly from the shock and lead a normal life as soon as possible.
