5th March 2007 Dear Lord, The Financial Secretary, Henry Tang, announced last week that the Hong Kong government has made a profit of $55 billion during the last year. We would like to thank you for your kindness in looking after Hong Kong. This money can be spent in helping many people including tax-payers, flat owners, social security recipients, parents and so on. Lord, please help Hong Kong to continue to build up its wealth so that it will be a prosperous and stable place to live. The first Chief Executive candidates' forum was held last Thursday. Both Mr. Donald Tsang and Mr. Alan Leong would like to be Chief Executive of Hong Kong for the next 5 years and so they publicly exchanged their views about various topics such as 'votes for everybody' , 'small class education' , 'pollution' and so on. Both of them are trying hard to contribute their efforts to the future of Hong Kong. Lord, please guide the Chief Executive to develop good policies to improve the economy and our standards of living, including our environment. Grant him wisdom and good health to lead Hong Kong to a bright future. The second term examination will start next week. Lord, please help students to concentrate well in their studies. Guide them in arranging their time properly and help them to answer the questions to the best of their ability. Lord, hear our prayer!
