Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to study and meet our friends at school. Many of the children in poor countries don't have this chance. We should treasure everything, especially our friends. We need friends to support us in good times and in bad times.

Lord, please guide us to understand that friendships form and break for various reasons. Some relationships end after a short time, while others last longer. Some last a lifetime. Every relationship will teach us something more about ourselves. There is always a reason for our becoming friends with someone, and a reason for that friendship ending. Sometimes it ends because of outside reasons, but sometimes it is because we don't treat our friends well. Lord, please grant us the wisdom to work out what we have learned from our relationships. Let us realize that we should be respectful, understanding and caring towards our friends.

Lunar New Year is coming, please help us to be strong and not play all the time but make good use of the holiday. We need to spend some time relaxing, but we must also find time to prepare for our studies after the holiday.
