9th January 2007 Dear Lord, A smoking ban set for leisure venues has been implemented from January 1, 2007. Smoking is prohibited on beaches, in public swimming pools, stadiums, sports grounds, sports centres, and most parks and playgrounds. This smoking plan not only allows us to breathe fresh air, it also encourages people to quit smoking. It will help reduce the medical expenses curing diseases caused by smoking as well. Lord, we thank you for giving us life and being able to breathe. We pray that you will grant our students healthy bodies and states of well-being. For smokers, please grant them courage and determination to quit smoking. Let us become healthy and responsible citizens.
