Dear Lord,

The theme for this month is 'Distinguishing between right and wrong.' Some teachers, students and guests of the assembly have shared their insightful views and provided useful suggestions on what to do and what not to. Please grant the students wisdom to understand these and be able to apply what they have learnt from the speakers in their daily lives.

Christmas is coming. It is not only a time for parties and gifts but also a time for us to prepare our souls and minds to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Lord, please grant all of us a joyous festival and a wonderful holiday with our families.

While celebrating, we need to be careful not to waste food. A survey reported in the newspaper suggested that a huge amount of food was thrown after parties and celebrations in primary and secondary schools last year. This not only produced an enormous amount of waste but also seriously harmed the environment. Dear Lord, please help us to be sensible and intelligent in planning and organizing our festive celebration.
