Dear Lord,

Last Wednesday, seven secondary school boys were arrested by the police, for fighting in a public area. Two groups were fighting over a taxi, which they both claimed to have hailed. The next day, there was fighting again in another secondary school. Please help these students to understand that it is not appropriate to solve problems with violence. Please grant them wisdom and patience when dealing with difficulties. At the same time, we would like to thank God for giving us the valuable opportunity to learn in a harmonious atmosphere at our school. We have loving classmates and caring teachers. Let us treasure this and try our best to do well in school.

We will have our Athletic Meet next Monday. It is a very good chance for us to strengthen our body and mind through sport. Students are now practising very hard for the event. Please give us good weather to conduct our competitions smoothly and safely. Also, grant us the spirit of sportsmanship, so that we can remain graceful whether we win or lose.
