F. 7 Biology students conducted their field study on Oct 4. They visited a mangrove at Tai Po Ting Kok. The objectives of the field study were to measure the abiotic factors and sample the biotic factors in an ecosystem, to study the effects of abiotic and biotic factors on the distribution and abundance of organisms, and the adaptation of organisms to their environment. The students were able to see a lot of mangrove organisms like mangrove trees, crabs, gastropods, fish etc. in their natural environment.
